It's finally going to happen. I get to meet my step-daughter and her 3 year-old son. If you saw my earlier post you noted she just recently came into our lives. She has only met her dad. She will get to meet 3 more of her new family this weekend. I am so thrilled for my hubby. He's ecstatic about the whole situation. I, on the other hand, am a nervous wreck and, I'm a nut. Everything will have to be perfect for their visit. I can't decide if I should buy a gift for the baby, or not. Maybe, present it as something for him to play with while he visits but, send it home with them? I already have an array of toys to keep him occupied because after all, I am the ultimate aunt (at least, I try to be). Not sure how I should handle the situation.
Fannie and Freddie say "Happy Holidays". We'll let you stay through the holidays but, beginning January 9th your outta there. I can only imagine what these homeowners or ones that have already lost their homes are going through. I feel bad for people who have lost their jobs or people who may, in the near future loose their jobs. But, I'm not so sure that some of you didn't live beyond your means. Maybe, we all should step back and take a look at what's really important in our lives.
Only 7 more days until Thanksgiving! I wonder if any of you are as excited about it as much as I am. I love spending time with family. I look forward to seeing everyone. Do you guys have more than one Thanksgiving get together like we do? Although, this year my half hasn't decided what to do yet. Sometimes, I wish we could combine everyone into one big happy fam damily.
